Chris Rock Biography of Chris RockRaised in Brooklyn, Chris Rock has won four Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards and received the Award from Comedian at the HBO Las Vegas Comedy Festival 2006.
After his success in stand-up, Chris Rock joined the team of "Saturday Night Live" in 1989. In 1993, he recorded his first show, "Chris Rock: Big Ass Jokes" which received a Cable Ace Award. It is the exclusive partner of the show "Politically Incorrect" on Comedy Central during the 1996 presidential campaign, and receives an Emmy nomination as co-writer in the category Best Screenplay for a program of music and variety. In 1997, his next show, "Bring the Pain", brought him recognition by receiving two Emmy Awards, one for best screenplay and the best special. The show was edited on video and CD received a Grammy Award.
Rock then presented the "Chris Rock Show" aired on HBO from 1997. He received numerous Emmy nominations for both the writing of the show for his performance facilitator. He received an Emmy Award rewards the best screenwriting in 1999. His next show on HBO, "Bigger and Blacker", recorded at the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem, earned him three Emmy nominations while the CD won the Grammy Award for best album of narration or comedy. In 2003, Chris Rock started his North American tour entitled "Black Ambition Tour." It includes 64 stages and more than 80 performances and lasts until March 2004. Released in April 2004 on HBO, his next show, "Never Scared" is nominated for two Emmy Awards and the CD won the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
The TV series "Everybody Hates Chris" which he is the co-creator and narrator who recounts the life of a black boy in a predominantly white school in the 80s, is directly inspired by his experience. At its inception in 2005, it was designated as one of the best new series by Entertainment Weekly magazine, making it the most watched in the history of UPN comedy series. The following year, the series is nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy and the Writers Guild Award for best new series.
In 2003, PRESIDENT BY ACCIDENT marked the debut of Chris Rock as director. It is also interpreted to partner with Bernie Mac. He made his first appearance in film alongside Eddie Murphy in THE BEVERLY HILLS COP 2 Tony Scott. In 1993, he wrote, created, produced and starred in CB4, satirical comedy about the world of rap, which is leading the box office. Among his other roles on the big screen include BOOMERANG , in which he finds Eddie Murphy, PANTHER Mario Van Peebles, NEW JACK CITY by the same director that allows him to approach for the first time in interpreting the dramatic register an addict to alongside Wesley Snipes, or I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA! with Keenen Ivory Wayans.
